The 12 Days of Christmas - The Feast of Saint Stephen Dec 26, 2021
Stephen is considered one of the first deacons of the Church, anointed to minister to widows on behalf of Jesus's apostles (Acts 6:1-6). He was also the first martyr; he was stoned to death as Saul (later Paul) oversaw the ordeal (Acts 7:54-60). Stephen proclaimed the gospel, and during his stoning he saw a vision of Jesus standing at God's right hand.
Why Is St. Stephen's Feast Day on December 26th?
