God was silent for over 400 years before the first coming of his only begotten Son, but now God has been silent for nearly 2,000 years and we are still waiting for the second coming. The New Testament scriptures were established as God’s word for his church nearly 2,000 years ago and nothing has been added to either the Old or New Testament scriptures since then. The message from God to his church was completed with the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ as revealed to the apostle John and ever since then the church has been waiting for the return of Christ in glory. 2,000 years is a long time to wait.
